Intramural Sports
CDW Intramural Sports offers students (Grades 5-8) an opportunity to participate in multiple sporting activities throughout the year. The program is designed to be inclusive of all students' abilities, is built on skill development, and is rooted in sportsmanship.
Intramural will run from September through June. A schedule will be shared when school starts.
Fall Sports
CDW Soccer
Our coed soccer team is composed of students in 7th and 8th grades ONLY. The team usually plays a 12-game fall schedule, competing twice against the other middle schools in the Northern Valley. Tryouts for the team are announced in the fall. The team generally practices twice a week and plays two games each week. Games are played under N.F.H.S. rules, except teams play two 30-minute periods instead of 40 minutes. Home games are played on the CDW field.
CDW Girls Volleyball
Open to 6th, 7th, and 8th-graders. The team usually plays a 12-game fall schedule, competing twice against the other middle schools in the Northern Valley. Tryouts for the team are announced in the fall. The team generally practices twice a week and plays two games each week. Home games are played at the CDW gym.

Open to 6th, 7th, and 8th-graders. The team usually plays a 12-game fall schedule, competing twice against the other middle schools in the Northern Valley. Tryouts for the team are announced in the fall. The team generally practices twice a week and plays two games each week. Home games are played at the CDW gym.
Winter Sports
CDW Boys Basketball
Open to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. Tryouts are announced in November, and approximately 15 boys are selected for the team. League games are played against the Northern Valley middle schools, as well as independent games.
CDW Girls Basketball
Open to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. Tryouts are announced in November, and approximately 15 girls are selected for the team. League games are played against the Northern Valley middle schools and local independent games.
Spring Sports
CDW Girls Softball 
Open to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. Tryouts are announced in late March or early April, and approximately 15 girls are selected for the team. An eleven-game schedule is played against area middle schools with a season-ending tournament held at CDW middle school. * Field subject to change.
CDW Boys Baseball
Open to 7th and 8th graders. Tryouts are announced in late March or early April, and approximately 15 boys are selected for the team. An eleven-game schedule is played against area middle schools with a season-ending tournament hosted by CDW at Stone Point Park. * Field subject to change.
CDW Track Team
The CDW track team is the largest of the school's teams, with a no-cut policy allowing all 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade students the opportunity to participate. Each track team member will be eligible to participate in each track meet. Student sign-ups occur in late March or early April, and practice is at CDW every day following school (weather permitting). Meet events include 60, 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600 meter races, shot put, discus, and long jump. Team relays are contested in the 4x 100 and the 4 x 200-meter events. Events are held at NVOT or NV Demarest with students from other Northern Valley middle schools.
