Intervention Program

CDW Intervention Program

The Charles DeWolf Math and Reading Intervention programs have been established to support students who have gaps in their math and/or reading foundations based on the New Jersey Student Learning Standards (NJSLS). As part of the Response to Intervention (RTI) model, students will receive individual or small group specialized supplemental instruction. The goal of the program is to remediate deficiencies by identifying and targeting each student’s specific needs. The frequency and duration of support will vary based on student need. These sessions will take place outside of the student's regularly scheduled math and/or language arts classes.

Multiple assessments are utilized to determine eligibility for the program including standardized testing, formal and informal classroom assessments, Teachers College Reading Assessments, and classroom performance. Student progress will be monitored throughout the program to determine if continuation is necessary, or if a child has achieved his/her individual goals to exit the program.

Parent(s)/Guardian(s) of a child in the program will receive notification of entry and exit of the program, as well as progress performance and goals met as a result of the program.

We look forward to working with your child this year!
