Center for Food Action Weekend Snack Pack Donations

Dear parent(s) and guardian(s),

During the month of March, the Student Council is asking for food donations to support the Center for Food Action's Weekend Snack Pack Program.  The Snack Pack Program benefits children in Bergen County who receive free or reduced-price school meals during the school week. Unfortunately, many of these children are left without adequate nutrition on the weekends and holiday breaks.

The Center for Food Action's Weekend Snack Pack Program helps to fill this gap by providing healthy, kid-friendly, and easy to prepare foods to children at risk for hunger.  The sealed snack packs are discreetly distributed by the classroom teacher on Friday afternoons. The Student Council has set a goal of donating 250 snack packs to the Center for Food Action.

If you would like to donate any items needed for the Weekend Snack Program, please access the link below to sign up.  All food donations should be dropped off to Charles DeWolf on March 21 and March 22.

On March 25 from 3:00 pm-4:00 pm, student volunteers will assemble the snack packs.  If your child would like to volunteer to help assemble the packs, please have your son or daughter see me in order to sign up.

If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
