COVID-19 Parent Information

Ways to manage stress and anxiety during the COVID-19 outbreak for parents and students.

1. Limit news and social media: although it is important to stay informed, too much viewing can cause more stress and anxiety.

2. Be a calming force for your children: know that they are watching and listening, how you react will impact their reactions. Practice mediation, deep breathing and/or yoga.  

3. Keep busy: play board games, draw or color, watch movies that are funny and uplifting. DO NOT watch any movies that include scenes with infectious diseases.

4. Stay active: exercise- do jumping jackets, planks, run in place, etc.  Make it a game or competition to keep it light and fun for the family. When possible, get fresh air.
